Day 168 - Thought is the seed of action .....

Good morning everyone!  It's a little cooler here in Alberta this morning, we actually had some snow flurries yesterday. 

Skippy's Mom thank you for your comments.  The Weight Control oatmeal was a sample pack and you are so right the regualr stuff in much better and tastes good too.  I love oatmeal and I was not impressed with the taste, texture or calories of the Weight Control kind.  It actually tasted like wallpaper paste.  I do have my oatmeal with milk and I use a spice grinder combo of cane sugar and cinnamon (Victorian Epicure product) so that I get the flavor but not the calories of regular brown sugar.

Michaela, welcome to my blog site.  It has been a long journey so far, and a hard on to say the least.  The life of a food addict trying to lose weight is stressful to say the least but I try to greet each day with a positive attitude.

Breakfast
1 pkg instant oatmeal (the good kind) (120 calories)
1/2 cup 1% milk (40 calories)
1 orange (60 calories)
1 cup of maxicchino (60 calories)

Lunch
6 oz salad w/1 tablespoon dressing (50 calories)
4 oz cottage cheese (90 calories)
8 oz V8 juice (70 calories)
1/2 cup diet jello (10 calories)

Waking up at 3 a.m. definitely has it's disadvantages.  I was really tired when I got home so dinner was not what it should have been.  Ended up making Canadian back bacon, eggs, hashbrowns and toast.  I didn't even bother to weigh or measure then promptly fell asleep after I ate.  Tomorrow will be better than today I am sure.

  1. I had to laugh at the "breakfast" menu - the oatmeal [the good kind] LOL I figured you knew, but just wanted to make sure - I LOOOOOOVE me some oatmeal and it is so low sodium YAY!

    Oh great - now I am craving some. LOL. And I can't reach the appliances to make some - dang wheelchair. :D Well, that's okay I will just wait until the littlest comes home and have it as a snack - so what do you think? Blueberries, strawberries or bananas? Hmmmm

  2. Oh wow, that isn't your normal wake up time is it??? You did so well the rest of the day, don't let dinner get you down. Tomorrow WILL be better :) I Hope you get a good nights sleep!
