Day 198 - I'm home again..........

Well I made it home safe and sound and have some exciting things to share with you all.  I went away for the weekend to attend Provincial Recognition Days (PRD) for my Taking of Pounds Sensibly (TOPS) chapter.  Our Provincial Queen for 2009 lost a total of 176 lbs.  I was in total awe.  She now weighs 150 lbs, she said it was like losing her twin.  This was so inspiring.  There were other great loses as well but this one was mind blowing.  It took her a few years to accomplish what she did but she looks absolutely fantastic.  Not only that but there were members that were honored for maintaining their wieght loses for as many as 40 years.  I am now so pumped to get started again and this time mean it.

Barbara, I am so sorry to hear that your son is sick, I do hope he is better real soon, and I am sorry that you had to drop out of the challenge.  Life is about choices and we have to make them according to what is best for ourselves.  I will continue to follow your blog as I hope you will with mine.

Tina, I did not journal what I ate over the weekend as it was very busy and most times we just grabbed a "smart snack" in our hotel rooms.  I tried not to eat out any more than absolutely necessary so breakfast and lunch were usually in our rooms consisting of fruit, granola bars, cheese and lite crackers.  I have found that eating out has become a serious blunder for me so I try to avoid it at all costs.  My disqualification stands as posting daily was part of the rules but thank you for being considerate enough to try to make it work for me.  The battle is now between yourself and Byron so I will be monitoring your sites.

  1. Aww... I am so sad you both had to drop out of the competition *sniffle sniffle*

I will also continue to follow Barbara and hope she still looses the weight and does well.

That is awesome about your weekend Tessa. I'm glad you had a fun and safe trip. How inspiring! Sometimes it's something like that, that really gives us the kick in the pants we need!
