Day 212 - Wishin' and a hopin' ......,

Hubby felt well enough to go to church today so that was nice.  We got to see a lot of people who are praying for us and care a great deal.  I am wishing and hoping that we hear from the doctor tomorrow.

2 shredded wheat biscuits
2 oz milk
4 oz yogurt
1 cup blackberries (my absolute favorite food)

4 oz lean ground beef w/ 1 oz shredded cheese, 1/4 cup salsa and 1 tablespoon sour cream
1 cup fresh peppers and cucumbers
1 cup blackberries

2 cups homemade beef vegetable soup
1/2 cup raspberry crumble w/lite cool whip

Trying really hard to get my fruits and veggies in.  I find it really hard to keep fighting the stress.  Guess weigh in tomorrow night will tell the tale.  I think I did ok this week but I have no idea.  I know it is a struggle not to allow myself to head to the fridge or cupboard all the time.  Thank God for water, as I have been drinking lots of it, especially when I get the cravings.

Again, thank you all for your support and comments.  I look forward to coming to my blog each day and seeing if anyone has left any messages.  The love and caring of strangers is no less important than that of family and close friends.  Thank you my friends for being there.

  1. Glad we have been able to help in some small way.

  2. Your menu looks so good I almost licked the screen LOL - and I have to agree - fresh blackberries? YUM, YUM.

I think you did a bang up job on the fruits and veggies today, besides the blackberries you had salsa and a vegetable BASED soup - come on! THAT IS ROCKING. [and I want the recipe tyvm - my fav soup!]

It is nice to get to church - I always enjoy it! I have missed it being sick and since I was just released from the hospital on Sat I was too weak to go this Sunday - but i am saving my energies for this next Sunday. :D

Good luck with the weigh in, but remember even if you don't lose or gained [at most] a little [i can't imagine more] remember you tried [hard] and we are proud of you :D

  3. Hey Tessa, Im praying for you and your hubby. Hope you get good news tomorrow. Hey, way to go on the blackberries and veges! *hug* Awesome job!!! I love going to church too when I can. Its good for the soul, yeah? Youre very welcome re: the support. You know, I worked hard to lose a lot of weight. I know how very hard it can be. Now Im almost there, the least I can do is find people to 'pay it forward' to. xxx

  4. I also hope you hear some news tomorrow.
You are doing great with your eating! I am so proud of you!
