I am not a doctor and this is not medical advice, just a few things to think about as a fellow struggler with weight. Why not adopt a strict diabetic diet for both you and your husband. You'll be killing 2 birds with 1 stone! He'll follow his eating plan, and you will definitely lose weight! It's a win-win situation! Nobody wins if he ends up with diabetic complications (blindness, foot problems, and worse) and if you don't get your own ducks in a row (heavier.) Take a diabetic food plan from his doctor and let that make the decisions for you and stick to it. Be prepared. Decide that you don't want to be fat anymore and nothing's going to stop you. Decide that you want to help your husband stick to his plan. You don't even have to tell him, just make that food for your meals and that's it. I know this is a lot harder than it sounds, but once you make the decision to really change your life, it's going to be the same song every day, no matter what you do. I know you can do it, Tessa! Say yes to health!!!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
